Hello everyone and welcome back to my second blog post! Thank you
so much for the continued support I have received from creating these platforms not only on my Instagram but as well as here with all your lovely comments I love reading them and I am so encouraged.
Throughout this last week I have been trying to slowly merge
into new and healthier habits, but it proves very difficult as sometimes I must
admit I do forget and lose focus. This past week I have tried to snack and
binge less on unhealthy things such as crisps and biscuits etc and when I do, I
try an opt for something healthier such as fruit, yoghurts or DIY smoothies!
I made a trip to Starbucks with my friends one evening and
decided to try one of the dairy free milk options in my iced caramel latte
instead of the usual milk. I chose oat milk as the alternative and was
surprised at how similar it did taste to milk but I have to admit I will be
trying the other milk options to see if I can find a better one suited to me!
All the Starbucks syrups they use are already vegan which helped a lot as I did
not have to adjust my order too much.
During the middle of the week in town my friend and I visited the Juice Jar for a quick stop off for something around lunch time, we both got the acai pot which was a particularly good choice! It was a thick smoothie bowl made from acai, strawberry, apple and banana which was all topped with crunchy granola, flax seeds, chia seeds, sliced almonds, strawberries, kiwi and blueberries along with a spoonful of peanut butter. This all happened to be vegan by chance which I loved and was surprised everything tasted so good and was so healthy, so no doubt I will definitely be back for more soon or even try a few other vegan choices from their menu.
This week I have also been enjoying the Alpro yoghurts which are 100% plant based and can come in many different flavours. I bought big tub of the plain coconut one and was surprised at how much I really liked it! I tend to have it with a variety of fruits which we have in the house, so this week I topped it with raspberries, strawberries and chopped up mango which I will definitely be having again soon and will have to go back to the shop to check out their other products they do.
So inspiring can’t wait to hear about the next step in your journey to become vegan!
