Hii everyone welcome back to my fifth blog post today I am going to talk about a big cruelty free brand in the beauty industry that most of you have probably heard of and might even have tried before, which is LUSH COSMETICS. Lush is known for its bold and bright handmade bath goodies such as bath bombs, bubble bars, soaps, shower gels, lip scrubs, shower gels and more. These are all very extravagant and all have a variety of smells, colours and looks to them. They operate in 49 countries globally with 20% of the stores located in the USA and also 85% of their products are vegan. One of their main policies is fighting animal testing and, on their website, they say it’s not just a Lush position and policy but a lifetime goal and the core value of their company. They have to ensure that they know how they buy their ingredients to best ensure that no animals suffered for their productions, they test their formulations to ensure safe products for customers but no cruelty to anima...

Happy Monday and welcome back to my blog! This week one of the polls I put up for my Instagram followers was if they look for products such as beauty products to be specifically vegan or cruelty free. I was not sure how the response would go for this as I personally do not go out looking for a product to be, but I am pleased when it is. The response I got was that 40% said yes, they do whereas 60% said no they do not. I am assuming this is because people know what works for them and being cruelty free or vegan isn’t essential for them, they feel. One of the beauty products I happened to be using this last week was the Tanologist fake tan drops which I have been using for some time now and something I genuinely love. Only by looking into this I found out that they are a completely vegan brand which I was surprised to hear. I posted a photo of the drops as well as the tan mousse on my Instagram feed and the Tanologist Instagram account actually liked and commented on it after I...

Hello and welcome back!! During this past week I decided to take to my Instagram stories to ask all my lovely followers what they thought about veganism today and what assumptions or thoughts they perceived about it. For myself personally, I am on this journey for the interest of bettering my health and exploring healthier food options, so my focus and idea is on health and wellbeing. Previously I have done polls asking my followers, if they would ever consider going Vegan and the response was 49% said yes, they would and 59% said no they would not. My follow up question to this was a question box where they could comment their reasons for what is stopping them becoming vegan. The responses were similar, and I am so pleased as to how many of you interacted and responded!  Many said about the inconvenience it causes as it would mean their family would have to cook separate meals as many of my followers live at home, which is a very valid reason. Others stated how they enjoy m...

Hello everyone and welcome back to my second blog post! Thank you  so much for the continued support I have received from creating these platforms not only on my Instagram but as well as here with all your lovely comments I love reading them and I am so encouraged. Throughout this last week I have been trying to slowly merge into new and healthier habits, but it proves very difficult as sometimes I must admit I do forget and lose focus. This past week I have tried to snack and binge less on unhealthy things such as crisps and biscuits etc and when I do, I try an opt for something healthier such as fruit, yoghurts or DIY smoothies! I made a trip to Starbucks with my friends one evening and decided to try one of the dairy free milk options in my iced caramel latte instead of the usual milk. I chose oat milk as the alternative and was surprised at how similar it did taste to milk but I have to admit I will be trying the other milk options to see if I can find a better one s...
